Justpeace
A Podcast that connects Faith & Development
Justpeace Podcast
“The delight of building justpeace? Like fishing, it is the pursuit of what is elusive, but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions of hope.”
Adapted from John Paul Lederach & John Buchan
The term “justpeace” is a combination of two key words: justice and peace. This podcast features stories and reflections about justpeace at the intersection of theology, development cooperation, peacebuilding and sociology. A special focus is put on faith-based development. What are Christian perspectives on fighting poverty, working for reconciliation and a more flourishing world to live in? Named by John Paul Lederach as “challenge of the 21st century”, justpeace can be seen as the biblical vision of Shalom as well as an overarching goal for Christian transformational development. Shalom is God’s promised justpeace and refers to life in abundance and right relationships with God, with one another and with creation.
